Making a movie is not so easy, even though Afriwood as a film industry has made shooting easier for us the army crew we can boost of fixing our selves in different areas onset, so in this last days i'm fortunate enough to handle the light as the gaffer and to be very sincere with you, its not easy but its fun especially when you know what you want to achieve it is by understanding the script and working with the director onset, but working with director Renna for her desired concept on sculpting the light according to the mood of the scene to be achieved you need to be very patient because her own concept will always be powerful.
Just like every filmmaker who loves and knows his job will tell you, with the experience i have on this movie, i can stand to say that good lighting is every thing you need to get a cinematic scene. as a trusted gaffer i will also say that light is as good as mood achievement.
My confession here is that i experienced a lot of issues, doing this for a big production for the first time, i will say it is fun but i nearly messed some scenes up but all kudos to my able Director Renna who is always in a good position to remind me of my storyboard and when i go back to it i will realize that was not as planed. One of the most difficult tasks that i faced as a gaffer course is how to incorporate various types of studio or practical lighting into large public spaces, which we had because we build our location in Afriwood.
it is an awesome experience i must confess.
